Comedy Bang Bang
Xmas 2018
If you’re still on your way traveling back to wherever you need to be for the holidays and have anxiety about it, then this Comedy Bang Bang episode is the perfect stress reliever. It’s long enough for your Metro-North ride, hilarious enough to keep you in a good mood, and chaotic enough (with 15 different guests on at the same time) so you can get use to that many voices in a room at once. I’ve personally listened to this episode twice because it’s that good.

Planet Money
Christmas Carol
If you’re in that classic ‘I want to listen to something interesting while I’m driving but not a bunch of people talking to each other’ mood, then this episode is your classic “Podcast”. Before Twitch, Movies, Television, and Radio, there was Dickens and his Penny Dreadfuls. And there is nothing like a celebrity lead protests in the form of an extremely well written classic then the Christmas Carol (a protest story and a critique on economic theory wrapped in one).

50 Things That Made the Modern Econ
The Santa Claus Economy
If you’re only a skip and a hop away from where you have to be today then this nugget of an episode about Christmas’ effect on the economy is perfect for you. It’s got enough small factoids that you can use as conversation fodder with any one you speak to like KFC on Christmas in Japan? Yup! People hated buying gifts since the 1800s? Yup. An annual waste of 35 Billion dollars on bad gifts? You got it!

Chips with Everything
Tracking Santa Claus
If you’re just bored now because you don’t want to talk to your relatives and just want to sit in solace with a soothing british voice talking to you about NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) tracking where Santa is on Christmas via satellites, rockets, and jet fighters, with a live hotline that gets about 70,000 calls on Christmas eve then boy do I have the episode for this niche request!

Unorthodox
A Very Jewish Christmas
If you’re Jewish (or not, you’ll still like this episode) then this episode is for you, you mensch!. This episode interviews two jews about Christmas-y content that they’ve created. First with hip hop writer Bill Adler who helped Run DMC make their song Christmas in Hollis followed with Steve De Souza who wrote all your hit 90s action movies like Die Hard, Judge Dredd, and Street Fighter!
